For the last ten years I have worked with more traditional mediums such as glass, watercolor and pencil which I truly enjoyed. While visiting my home landseveral years ago, I discovered this form of Metal work, which has captivated my attention.

The art work that I do is a form of Repujado or Repousse, an embossing or relief done on sheets of metal, with a unique twist of my own. My Passion displayed through my work.

The Metal Art you see here is rare to be found in the manner that I create it. It is not a traditional style, it is an un-exploited medium, it displays its color beautifully, very detailed and challenging to make. I find the work rewarding as I mold the piece into something beautiful.

As times passes by I am finding the real art is arduous task of moving the metal to speak. In the process this rigid shiny metal succumbs to my will and submits to the work of my hands.

My work is formed in sheets of Aluminum a semi-soft metal, of which is molded, embossed to create a relief. All of it is done by hand using small wood and paper pencils, and other tools to create texture. The final result is a three dimensional design. I then apply the special patinas, which are colorful and translucent allowing the metal to shine through giving the allusion of light within.

All my pieces are designed individually; my work is fashioned with a bold combination of colors and textures. The pieces glow and display a mystical reflection, as you can observe in the photographs.

When hanging my original work, consider the play of light on the metallic-lace color infused into the fabric of the Aluminum.

Because archaeology is another of my passions, I enjoy creating my own designs based on artifacts from, Central and South America.

Born in Mexico City and raised by artistic and crafty parents, I grew up painting, designing and creating art. I have always been encouraged by my family to pursue and to develop my artistic skills. But life put a hold on my artistic career so that it could be resumed at a later date.

Today I reside in Tucson, Az., where the desert is king so my contribution of the Southwest designs are also obvious, but my love for the abstracts, contemporary art, the fauna and flora are also well represented.

My work has been displayed at the Tucson Museum of Art, Gift shop.

The Desert Artisans Gallery, in Tucson Az. And

The Tucson International Airport, Tucson Az.

I will also consider commissions for custom pieces.
